Resource & Referral Services
Child Care Resource and Referral services provide families, child care programs and providers, and communities with information and support for quality child care that is affordable and accessible for all Minnesota and North Dakota families.
Child Care Resource and Referral services help to:
GUIDE FAMILIES
Help families find child care that best meets their needs.
Provide individualized referrals to family child care homes, centers, preschool programs, and school-age programs.
Maintain a comprehensive updated database of all licensed child care programs and providers, and school-age programs.
Inform families about licensing regulations, services for children with special health and developmental needs, financial, social, and community services.
Increase family choice by building the supply of child care.
Child care consumer resources and interviewing tips.
BUILD PROVIDER/PROGRAM CONNECTIONS
Support providers/programs through the licensing process.
Promote the professional growth and development of child care program staff and providers through grants, resources, training, consultation and mentoring.
Supply information on loans and scholarships and administer state grants to child care providers, programs and staff.
Market programs though parent referrals.
Resources for working with children and families.

BUILD COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS
Educate local communities and leaders about child care issues.
Work with communities to effectively address child care needs.
Provide information on the supply and demand of child care.
BUILD EMPLOYER CONNECTIONS
Increase the business community’s awareness of, and investment in, early care and education.
Link businesses with child care solutions, such as child care resource and referral, the dependent care assistance plan, and community partnerships.

Child Care Resource and Referral staff may receive concerns and/or complaints about providers via numerous routes. When Child Care Resource and Referral determines that the contact ins unveiling a licensing violation or an abuse or neglect situation, CCR&R informs the individual that we are not involved in the licensing process, does not issue, deny, or revoke child care license, and does not investigate concerns or complaints. These concerns and/or complaints will be addressed by licensing staff or child protective staff in your county. Please contact your local agency regarding these matters.
Confidentiality policy: All information given to create appropriate referrals will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any other organization.
Complaint policy: Should a customer be dissatisfied with a service provided, or have another type of concern or complaint, an employee is expected to give the matter immediate attention.
