The Earned Income Tax Credit is a refundable credit worth up to $4,716 for low-to moderate-income families and individuals. In 2004, an estimated $13 billion dollars was left unclaimed. It’s “earned” income. If you earned it and are eligible, please claim it.
You can’t claim it unless you file your federal taxes. Too many people don’t file because they don’t have to but unknowingly miss out on this refund.
Others do file but do not claim the EITC.
