Providing Much-Needed Funding.

The Northern Lights Group Workcamp will repair approximately 70 homes in the local community. This will be free-of-charge for area residents in need of assistance. In order for these repairs to happen, we need your help.

Each Group Workcamp is funded in several ways. Each youth volunteer pays to participate, and the majority of this fee is used to pay for materials and supplies. However, in addition to this fee, approximately $17,000 needs to be raised locally. The more funds that are raised, the more homes can be repaired.

Lending Us a Ladder.

On average, each Workcamp requires up to 75 ladders for volunteers to reach the areas needing repair. All loaned ladders will be carefully tracked, treated respectfully and returned promptly.

Spreading the Word.

The more people who know about Northern Lights Group Workcamp the better. Applications for Assistance and Monetary Donations are both being accepted. If you know someone who needs help or would like to help, share this information. If you are a member of an organization, contact Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership to schedule a presentation for your group to learn more about this wonderful opportunity or to arrange for informational materials to be provided.

Being a Volunteer.

Volunteers are needed to help with varies projects and tasks prior to, during, and after the Northern Lights Group Workcamp. A full list of opportunities can be found on the ‘Volunteer’ page of this web site.
