Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership believes that everyone has a right to a simple, decent, affordable place to live in dignity and safety.
The Housing/Self-Sufficiency programs provide assistance and opportunity to persons living in Clay or Wilkin County to address housing needs. We do this through a number of efforts, including:
Assisting eligible low-income families and individuals in obtaining home buyers assistance for affordable housing through our new construction housing, IDA and related programs.
Providing financial assistance through our Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program for rent, deposits and utilities for eligible households in Clay and Wilkin Counties that are in financial crisis.
Maintaining and active involvement in local, state and regional organizations and collaborative networks focused on homeless prevention. Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership endorses, supports and implement both HUD and the State of Minnesota’s plans to end homelessness.
Working with many homeless prevention, human service, other government and nonprofit entities to further the work of homeless prevention in the greater Fargo, ND and Moorhead, MN areas as well as Clay and Wilkin Counties in MN.
