Eligibility requirements:
To qualify for this program, participants must be:

A. At least 60 years old
B. Meet income eligibility requirements (135% of poverty guidelines)
C. Live in Clay County

One person in subsidized housing commented, “I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t get this food every month.” And, from another person, “Now I have a few extra dollars to spend on other things I need.”

Lakes and Prairies Community Action Partnership administers the Nutritional Assistance Program for Seniors in Clay County. Each year more than 2800 boxes of commodity food are distributed to Clay County Seniors. Since we started in 2000, more than 1 million pounds of food have been delivered by volunteers or passed out at our local National Guard Armory to those in need.
