PROGRAM OPTIONS

Center Base

Center based Head Start children meet either 3 or 4 half-days per week, depending on the site. We have sites in Moorhead, Dilworth, Breckenridge and Campbell areas. Parents are encouraged to volunteer in the classroom, go along on field trips, and participate in home activities designed to enhance the educational curriculum.

Home Base

Home based Head Start consists of a weekly home visit and socialization experiences and is available in the Clay and Wilkin Counties. Working with “Parents as partners” the Home Base Teachers’ role is to provide information and resources to support the family and the child’s individual learning.

Childcare Partnerships

Head Start partners with licensed child care providers. Certified providers offer full-time child care, and use the Head Start curriculum as a guide in planning developmentally appropriate activities and learning environments. Parents must be either working or attending school full-time to qualify for these programs.
