At Lakes & Prairies we have our programs - Child Care Resource & Referral, Family & Community Services, Rainbow Bridge, Clay County Seniors, Clay-Wilkin Head Start.

In addition, special projects and initiatives provide more opportunities to respond to the emerging and changing needs of children, families and seniors. They are different than our more recognized programs because the issues or needs cut across program lines or because they have been identified as importance to the communities we serve or the region as a whole.

We understand that individuals, families and communities are constantly changing. We therefore participate in community-wide collaborative efforts and evaluate our own role as a community action agency. How can we best make a difference as we enter 2012?

Special initiatives and projects spring forth from real issues. Homelessness Prevention, Financial Literacy, Asset Development, Community Engagement, Group Workcamps and a free Tax Site are but a few examples of how we direct our energies and resources in this area. Look to this page frequently for areas you are interested in or would be willing to help with.

Appointments at the Moorhead location will be scheduled for the following dates:
Tuesdays and Thursdays January 24th through April 12th and Wednesdays in February.

Appointments will also be available on a limited basis in Wilkin County - Breckenridge, as well as in Hawley and Barnesville throughout the tax season.

Note: All tax preparation services are available by appointment only. We can not take walk in appointments.
