QUALITY IMPROVEMENT
PROGRAMS
High quality child care environments and positive caregiver/child interactions have a lasting impact on a child’s later success in life. We know from recent research, that crucial brain development occurs within the first three years of life. CCR&R offers quality improvement programs for child care programs. This effort helps caregivers recognize the importance of early relationships and quality settings for young children. Consultation and feedback from a trained consultant is offered to participants to help them strengthen their existing program.
This is a 6 to 9 month, comprehensive project that combines environmental assessment with learning activities designed for family and group child care providers. Improvements are demonstrated by higher scores on the environmental rating scale. Incentives include a comprehensive resource library and resources to assist in implementing changes. For more information, contact the child care specialist in your county.
