To Families

Families enrolled in Head Start are provided information, resources, linkages to community programs, and support to address their needs in the following areas:

To Parents

Parents are the most important influence on their child’s development. Our Head Start program enhances parenting skills by offering education in child development, dental care, health and safety issues, nutrition, positive guidance, father involvement, and behavioral health.

To Children

Children are offered an educational program designed to meet the child’s individual needs. Emphasis is on the child’s social and emotional growth, pre-academic skills, language usage and expression, self confidence and play experiences. Head Start also focuses on the comprehensive health of the enrolled children, including health and dental exams, immunizations, and treatment follow-up.
